Inspirational Musician, “Tessy Aniesi” just released two hit singles. One of the songs titled “Jah”, recounts how God saved her when she found herself in a boat almost overtaken by a storm and ship.
JAH Story By “TESSY ANIESI”.
For long, I have not gathered the courage to tell this story but now music has given me energy/strength to and here is it:
I everyday remember a sticky situation, the Eldest Daughter of my Dad; that’s my Big Sister Ukamaka and I, were involved in.
I was a child and went for holidays in her marital home, they lived in a farm settlement called: “Okpa-Umuikwu Anam”.As farmers facing annual flood menace, Anam people use Canoes for transportation of their farm products as well as means to run errands, during flood season.
So on that unforgettable day, two of us were paddling canoe to crossover to Asaba through the grown River Niger, it was still when we set out but, wind came, the wave and the storm of River Niger started when we were already in the middle of the river.
Unexpectedly, a ship which we didn’t see coming before we set out, was very close to us. We were battling the storm and now the ship is against us, and the storm from the angry river was roaring to blind any sight that may aid safety, the pilot could not see us. The people at the river bank where we left said, they have already concluded we were gone beneath the water.
So in that close range, I closed my eyes and stopped paddling. My sister said she did the same, only held on strongly on the boat as the storm was throwing us up and down deep the valley of the wave.
May be it’s a human or spirit that signaled or inspired the pilot to make an altercation with the ship’s direction, this altercation saved us from going under the propeller of the ship and we happened not to be buried in the sea, but it threw us up, we flew and landed in the valley formed by the storm but not buried in the sea in that sticky situation.
How we came out, I don’t know.
This makes me shiver at every thought of it and that’s why I say, its only The Most High God (Jah) that did it. And if he could do this, definitely, HE WILL NEVER LET ME DOWN in any situation, nor will He let “YOU” down, Yes You.
